Muhammad

About this book

Demi, an award-winning author and illustrator, created this picture-book biography of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for children.

The story follows his life from his birth in Makkah through the revelation, the persecution, the Hijrah and the founding of the Muslim community, to his passing in Madinah. The illustrations are inspired by Persian and Turkish miniature painting and touched with gold. Following Islamic tradition, the Prophet ﷺ is never shown; he is represented by a golden silhouette.

The large format and rich colours make it a book children return to, and a good starting point for conversations about the Prophet ﷺ at home or in class.
